La DNA Genetics ha cominciato a coltivare da casa (in Hollywood, California) nei primi anni '80. Collezzionavano semi da amici e familiari, così ottenendo la migliore ganja disponibile all'epoca. Nel 2002 si sono spostati ad Amsterdam, nei Paesi Bassi. Negli anni seguenti, i loro semi vinceranno diversi premi al HIgh Times Cannabis Cup.
